Nov. 25: NY Post Reports that due to a broken Jaw, Ann Coulter's mouth has been wired shut. Atheists everywhere are given momentary pause. From Tom Tomorrow

God's a name for the object of a person judging themselves. It's probably too late now, but if I were an ancient dictator, I'd say how I have a divine right to rule, and how god has a short & gruesome cure for dissent. Then I'd levee taxes that will reveal non-believers as traitors. They all did it, Moses, Ashurbanipal, Ramses, Genghis Khan. It's a sign of civilization if not enlightenment. Saddam was going to resurrect the glory of Babylon & I think the Bushes were jealous of his hubris, so they had a war. But these things don't stay in the publics awareness for very long. I suspect as soon as the outrage wears off & the hormones evaporate, something else will come along. Religion and atheism will both loose favor as that polarization recedes too. Self judgments need a social context, like some group to identify with, what a politician would call "an issue". Who's side are you on?
